Responsible for the recruitment, management, workflow, and operations of a multidisciplinary team that includes content design, technical writing, communications, and digital asset management. Ensuring that content design members are embedded across all XDi products while working with key stakeholders to drive initiatives and plan for future releases. Establishing long term goals for the team while helping individuals set targets for their personal growth. Mentoring junior and senior designers and creating opportunities for collaboration across disciplines to ensure the product incorporates research, interaction, and visual design. Responsible for the introduction of third-party help apps into the XDi product suite, requiring cross-department collaboration, in-app guidance, and strategy. Established and grew content opps as a team wide effort resulting in documentation, toolkits, localization guidance, and cross functional best practices.
The first hire for a newly formed content design team focused on building foundational components to ensure sustainability and scalability. Established tone and voice for the organization that would become the bedrock of the first XDi style guide. Built a repository of error messaging and alert content while building relationships with developers to ensure intended use. Created instructional information for design and research partners on the content team’s role in the product. Demonstrated these practices by working directly with design on wireframes and prototypes that became developed features. Participated in the recruitment for content design and interaction design teams.
